US Sponsor Helps Organize Youth Tennis Festival in Anantapur

July 5, 2022

Surya Gangireddy, head of LA Rayalaseema Group, a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, contacted Moncho Ferrer, VFF USA Board President, back in Febuary 2021 with an offer to fund a special event to bring children and tennis together. However, due to the COVID lockdown, this promising event was postponed several times.

Finally, on June 3-5, Rural Development Trust organized this special Tennis Festival for children under the age of 14 who are practicing regular tennis in the Anantapur district. This included 30 boys and 30 girls from all the tennis coaching centers in Anantapur, including the Nadal Education and Tennis School (NETS).

Children participated in various life skill activities, practicing communication, leadership, team building, debating, values and art. In addition, an awareness workshop on Health and Wellbeing was organized.

This will likely become a regular event, bringing the joy of education to so many young athletes. We express our deep appreciation to Mr. Gangireddy and LA Rayalaseema Group.
