How a Teacher Changed Lives by Building Trust
It is 6 PM and all the residents of P.Yaleru have come together for the monthly meeting of the village. The meeting is taking place in the same building where Theresa taught for more than thirty years. As soon as she comes in, silence falls. Not out of fear but out of respect for the woman that inspired them to become who they are today.
Theresa (62) retired a few years ago but for the habitants of P.Yaleru she is and always will be ‘The Teacher’. She was the first in the village who believed in the power of education and committed all her life to make it a reality for all.

Send a Child to School
- A bicycle can be the key to continue education for children in rural areas in India.
- Rural students, girls in particular, often drop out after completing elementary
school because the high school is too far and there are no buses from their villages. - The aim of the bicycle program is to ensure school attendance and continuing education, especially for girls, and thus to provide them with chances for a hopeful future.
- This project provides bicycles to poor rural students pursuing high
school education. - With bicycles, students can move faster and more safely!

Facilitate STEM Education
with Scholarships
- In rural India, children who live in remote villages with underdeveloped infrastructure find it difficult to continue their education after secondary school.
- The aim of the program is to provide a financial boost to the young people from impoverished communities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with a focus on girls to help them graduate and find employment in a technical field.
- The overall goal is to improve the socio-economic status of rural communities through better and more diversified job opportunities for new generations.
- The program will provide scholarships to students who have successfully completed their 10th grade and will support the students for five to six years, from the 11th grade through university.
- The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, meals, exam fees, study materials, pocket money, trips to visit family, and health care.
